Why did the letter X become so popular? Once upon a time it was good only for marking buried pirate treasure and spelling X-ray and xylophone as children and xylophone never made any sense since it should begin with the letter Z. Now it is everywhere: X-Men (OK, this one makes a little sense since their leader’s last name is Xavier), i Phone X, Xbox One X (because one X is not enough), X Games, Weapon X, Planet X, Generation X, Vin Diesel as XXX, “X Gon’ Give It To Ya”, and it has even replaced Christ in X-Mas for X sake. Strange that such a near useless letter has become so prevalent. Probably secret code for some Illuminati conspiracy.
